Installation

J Whitney Frame offers professional installation services of framed artwork in most locations in your home and office.  We offer installation services not only for our own work, but also for pieces purchased at other locations or for artwork that you have had in your family for generations.

Our installation services are free of charge when purchasing a full art and frame package.  We charge a fee for any other services, starting at $60.00 per hour of time, including travel time, with a minimum of 1 hour.  It typically takes 5-15 minutes per piece to hang depending on the size and location.

Particularly difficult or hard to reach locations may be assessed a higher fee and may require a second installer to be present for assistance.  We do not provide ladders or scaffolding; any location that requires a ladder or scaffold to reach must be provided by you and we may decline installation if the location is not deemed to be safe for the installer.  For installations that you feel may be declined due to safety reasons, we suggest that you hire a professional carpenter or a contractor who can provide the proper equipment for safety and ease of access.
